Eurobanan has teamed up with Costa Rican country brand Esencial Costa Rica for the IV edition of its annual gastronomy competition, part of a consumer campaign to promote the company’s Isla Bonita tropical fruit brand.

The contest invites consumers to submit recipe ideas that feature at least one of the following Costa Rican products: mango, pineapple, papaya, cassava, rambutan, ginger, sugar cane and squash.

“We are looking for original, innovative recipes that best sum up the spirit of Costa Rica,” Eurobanan said.

During the initial online phase of the competition, recipes can be submitted online via Facebook and those receiving the highest number of votes each week will win a basket of Isla Bonita tropical fruit.

The creators of the six overall winning entries – judged by a professional panel – will be invited to a gala evening at the end of November in Madrid, at which one of them will have the chance to win a holiday to the Central American country.
