Production of Jazz apples in the UK is expected to soar in the next few years, according to UK-based fruit marketer Worldwide Fruit, which holds the exclusive growing and marketing rights for the UK from New Zealand-based Enza.

Last year, the company said, approximately 600 tonnes were produced, a figure that is expected to grow to 1,800 tonnes in 2008/09 and an estimated 5,000 tonnes by 2012.
