Italy's largest supplier of babyleaf salad products, Rago Group, says it has emerged unscathed from recent heavy rains which struck the Italian peninsula during the past week.
'Due to our investment in the best tunnel technology available, we came through the storms with zero damage to the tunnels and no loss of production,' reported the group's Michael Earley.
'We have continued to perform at levels over 100 per cent of our programmes for our clients,' he added.
Rago Group has invested heavily in its infrastructure during recent years, adding new tunnels, irrigation, drainage systems and even roads.
'We are dedicated to bringing the safest, freshest babyleaf to the market at competitive prices,' Mr Earley stated. 'We offer the newest technology with old world values.'
