WT SeaAir Ltd has increased its portfolio of services by expanding into the perishables business with the formation of a new division, WT Perishables.

Colin Wells will head up this new division and will be integral in making it a success in a time-sensitive market.

WT SeaAir Ltd described the perishables market as “a natural extension” from the retail services WT undertake. Wells will drive forward the company in creating a global perishables network, utilising the current infrastructure of WT SeaAir and personal contacts developed over many years from around the globe.

Gary Morter, managing director of WT SeaAir, said: “The synergy we will get from this activity in terms of overseas market and destination services will provide an exciting challenge to ensure we are getting the best service for the best value. Colin is a veteran in our industry and has been the head of a perishable logistics company in the UK.”
