ICA, the largest retail group in Sweden, has launched a new compostable film for use in the Swedish fresh produce sector. The NaturePlus film is the second designed by Amcor Flexibles Food that is currently being used in ICA stores, on produce such as salads, apples and carrots.
'The products have been developed as part of Amcor's drive to produce more sustainable and environmentally-friendly materials,' said Peter Ettridge, sustainable packaging development manager at Amcor Flexibles Food. 'Sustainability is both our challenge and our responsibility and we want our packaging to help our customers around the globe to meet their own sustainability goals.'
