A new event organised by Valencia Fruits in collaboration with AgroBank and Livingstone, the event will tackle the biggest issues affecting the sector
Professionals from across the Spanish citrus sector will meet in Valencia on 30 June to analyse the challenges and opportunities for Spanish oranges, from production to distribution and consumption, at the ‘Strategic Challenges of the Spanish Orange’ conference organised by Valencia Fruits in collaboration with AgroBank and Livingstone.

The Spanish orange sector is experiencing one of the most complex periods in its recent history. Changes in production, market evolution, new commercial demands, financial challenges, the transformation of consumption, and increasing international competition paint a picture that compels reflection on the present and future of one of the most emblematic crops in Spanish agriculture and trade.
The conference, which will be held from 9:30am to 2:00pm at the CaixaBank headquarters in Valencia, aspires to become an essential forum for analysis and debate for key decision-makers in the Spanish citrus market.
Throughout the morning, representatives from leading companies, entities, and organisations will address some of the main issues that will shape the future of citrus farming.
The technical session will begin with an opening talk aimed at contextualising the general situation of the Spanish orange sector, followed by a series of dynamic roundtables that will delve into specific aspects, such as new consumption habits, the international trade context, misinformation surrounding orange juice, the financial and corporate perspective of the sector, the current business reality, and a preview of how the future of the Spanish orange industry might unfold.
The event is sponsored by AgroFresh, Maf Roda, and Gustavo Ferrada. Citrosol, the Valencian Citrus PGI, and Koppert have also joined the project as key collaborating entities.
The conference is aimed at professionals from all links in the citrus supply chain and seeks to offer a comprehensive view of the strategic challenges facing the sector, as well as identify opportunities to strengthen its competitiveness in the coming years. Valencia Fruits will provide timely information and detailed coverage of the event through its various channels.
