Her new remit includes responsibility for fresh, chilled and bakery as Ocado advertises for new trading manager for fresh produce category
Ocado’s Martha Springham has been promoted to head of fresh, chilled and bakery after three and a half years as trading manager for fresh produce.
The search for her successor is underway, with an Ocado job advert for a category trading manager accepting applications until 17 August.
Writing on LinkedIn to share the news, Springham called leading Ocado’s fresh produce team “one of the most rewarding chapters” of her career.
”Produce is an incredible industry, and I’m so grateful to have worked alongside brilliant colleagues across Ocado Retail and Marks and Spencer, fantastic suppliers and growers, and a team that has continually challenged, supported and inspired me. I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved together,” she said.
During her tenure as trading manager, Springham has been a visible presence within the fresh produce industry, speaking at FPJ’s Festival of Fresh and overseeing several campaigns and collaborations in the produce aisle.
“While I’ll still be staying close to the produce industry, I’m looking forward to learning new categories, meeting more great people, and working together to deliver even more for Ocado customers,” she said.
