“Over the past year, we reviewed our sustainability strategy, focusing on the long term and building shared value,” said the company’s president Hernán Garcés. “We sought to integrate environmental stewardship, active engagement with the communities where we operate, and strengthening the economic and operational sustainability of our business.”

Throughout its seven chapters, the report presents information on the company’s environmental management, highlighting the implementation of various measures aimed at the efficient use of resources, with a particular focus on water, energy, and waste management, as well as reducing its carbon footprint.

In the social sphere, the document delves into the work carried out both with the people who make up the organization and with the communities where the company is located. Regarding its team, the company presents some of the initiatives that have led to its recognition as a great place to work in Chile, and reaffirms its strong commitment in this area, which is demonstrated through real opportunities for learning, development, and professional growth.

The report also details the results of the various initiatives that make up the “Somos Comunidad” (We Are Community) programme, which, since its creation in 2020, has benefited more than 28,000 people in five regions of the country.

“We are very proud of everything we have achieved in recent years, and highly motivated to continue growing alongside our teams and the communities where we operate,” said Claudia Silva, corporate people manager at Garcés Fruit.

The report also includes information on the strategic alliances the company has established in education; its progress in innovation; its work with suppliers; and the main awards received during the period.
