Retailer provides edible and display fruit and vegetable options as Australian consumers embrace Halloween

Coles has introduced a new spooky pumpkin to its Halloween range, adding the Mini Wart pumpkin to the shelves.

The decorative pumpkin joined Coles’ existing range of ornamental vegetables, which return to stores for the Halloween period.

“The showstopping Warty Gnome pumpkin was a runaway hit in 2024, flying off shelves and capturing the imagination of Halloween lovers everywhere. This year, it’s back by popular demand - proof that Australians can’t get enough of decorative pumpkins,” said a Coles spokesperson.

“Joining the line-up for 2025 is the brand-new Mini Wart: a pocket-sized pumpkin with the same quirky, devilish bumps, custom-grown for Coles by Rombola Family Farms.”

There are multiple decorative pumpkins in Coles’ Halloween range, including the Aussie Jack O’ Lantern, Mini Jack, Warty Gnome and Mini Wart. While these pumpkins are safe to consume, Coles recommends that they are used for display purposes only. For a fresh and healthy addition to the treat bowl, Coles also has its Zombie Mandarins, pre-pack mandarin offering. The retailer said Halloween is becoming increasingly popular among Australian consumers.

“We’ve seen strong year-on-year interest from our customers in Halloween products, and we’re always looking for ways to deliver even more value and variety. That’s why we’re expanding our range to include the new Mini Wart pumpkin - an affordable, fun option that joins favourites like Mini Jack and the Warty Gnome,” the spokesperson added.

“By offering a wider selection of sizes and price points, we’re making it easier for everyone to get involved in the Halloween festivities.”
