There are just four weeks to go until the International Fresh Produce Safety Symposium 2026 (IFPSS26), with an extensive programme filling out two days of content.

The event takes place on 21-22 July 2026 at the Novotel Sydney International Airport, and will bring together fresh produce industry leaders, researchers, regulators, growers, food safety professionals and service providers from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
With the theme Evidence to Action, IFPSS26 focuses on turning research, innovation and knowledge into practical improvements that strengthen food safety outcomes across the fresh produce supply chain.
This year’s symposium features two internationally recognised keynote speakers.
Dr Elizabeth (Betsy) Bihn, director of the Produce Safety Alliance at Cornell University in the US, and one of the world’s leading experts in produce safety education, agricultural water quality and microbial risk management.
D’Arcie Rice is a technical manager representing the British Leafy Salads Association (UK), who will share practical approaches to embedding food safety culture and capability throughout fresh produce businesses.
They will be joined by a packed line-up of Australian and New Zealand experts, including SP Singh (NSW DPIRD), Lina Ashmore (Commercial Food Sanitation), Craig Shadbolt (New South Wales Food Authority), Mathew Bannister (First Fresh NZ), Mark Bradbury (La Trobe University), Wade Mann (Family Fresh Farms), Jane Siebum (Freshcare) and more.
Delegates can expect practical case studies, emerging research, industry insights, regulatory updates, technology innovations and real-world examples that can be applied immediately within their own businesses.
Spaces are also running out for the Field Trip on 20 July. Selegates can participate in the highly anticipated IFPSS26 Field Trip, visiting Family Fresh Farms and Eastcoast Beverages. This unique experience provides an opportunity to see food safety systems, culture and best practice in action across growing, packing and processing environments, while engaging directly with the people responsible for delivering safe, high-quality produce.
Registrations close 17 July 2026.
