South Korea will increase its imports of Myanmar fruit following a bilateral trade meeting on Tuesday, according to Burmese news site BVD.

Myanmar's Ministry of Commerce has announced that Korea plans to increase its imports of dragon fruit, mango, mangosteen and pomelo, usually sourced from Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The meeting between Korean and Myanmar government officials, as well as representatives of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, also covered quarantine and food safety regulations, including an eight-step quality control process for Myanmarese mangoes.
