Freshconex

The market for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook fruit and vegetables is continuing to develop rapidly in Europe. Reasons for this development include an increase in the number of single-person households, an increase in the number of meals eaten outside the home, and the quick and easy availability of such products.

These trends will be discussed at Freshconex 2009, the trade fair that was premiered in 2008 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds and will be back on 4-6 February 2009. In response to the strong demand for exhibition space and the participation of key international industry players, Freshconex 2009 will be staged in the larger Hall 2.1.

An accompanying Freshconex Congress,is organised by Eurofruit Magazine, theworld‘s leading organiser of fresh produce industryconferences, in cooperation with United Fresh Produce Association, the international fresh-cut industry body.

The exhibition area covers the entire fresh-cut trade, from products, processing technologies and specialised packaging, to quality and safety. Exhibitors from 14 countries include Bonduelle (France/Germany), Eisberg (Switzerland), Florette (France), Gartenfrisch Jung (Germany), Hessing Supervers (Netherlands), Sharp Interpack (UK) and Turatti (Italy).

Organised by Messe Berlin, Freshconex provides the rapidly growing market for fresh-cut convenience products with a unique business and information platform, and is Europe’s only annual meeting place for this sector.

A significant additional benefit for the industry is the fact that Freshconex takes place in conjunction with Fruit Logistica, the world’s leading trade fair for fruit and vegetable marketing. These two trade events combine to attract an unparalleled number of top-level decision-makers and buyers from around the world.
