WOP Dubai, the World of Perishables trade fair, has teamed up with the Eurofruit Congress Middle East to offer fresh produce growers and traders a comprehensive insight into the growing market of Dubai.

This year, the Eurofruit Congress Middle East will take place on 24-25 September in the InterContinental Hotel, in Dubai’s Festival City.

The event, organised by Eurofruit Magazine, which also produces fruitnet.com, will see leading players in the market offering their knowledge on a variety of topics central to the industry.

The congress will be followed by WOP Dubai on 26-28 September, to be help in the immediate vicinity, at the Dubai Airport Expo.

The fair, according to organisers Messe Essen and planetfair Dubai, will enable trade visitors and entrepreneurs to establish new contacts, do business and gain an overview of the market.

“The event was launched in 2009 in order to bring together suppliers and customers in the field of fruit and vegetables, in addition to logistics and relevant technologies,” WOP Dubai’s organisers stated in a press release. “Dubai is the most important trading hub for fruits and vegetables in the Middle East. Income levels are rising throughout the region, and demand for temperature-sensitive goods with them, while the growing number of supermarkets is making the market more and more professional.”
