Cassia Ferguson will head up the group's national marketing

Leading Australian fruit and vegetable grower-shipper Perfection Fresh has appointed Cassia Ferguson to the new role of national group marketing and consumer insights manager.

Ferguson, who joins the company from N&A Group, will commence her new role on 11 August, reporting to Perfection Fresh CEO Michael Simonetta and based at the group’s Sydney head office.

Helen Waterworth is also joining Perfection Fresh in the full-time position of marketing manager, based in the company’s Melbourne office. Waterworth, a highly experienced marketing specialist, had been working for Perfection Fresh as part-time contractor, but now becomes a permanent employee and will report to Ferguson.

Meanwhile, Kristie Emerson is shifting over from her assistant marketing role to focus on graphic design and labelling as well as continuing to serve as PA to Simonetta.

“These imminent changes will support our strategic objectives,” said Simonetta.

Perfection Fresh, which merged with D’Vine Ripe on 1 July, has a strategy to control 70 per cent of its total sales through production, licensed varieties and fresh value-added processing by 2018, with a target to achieve sales of A$500m.
