Asiafruit Magazine is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year.

To mark the occasion, Asiafruit Magazine is hosting a special session at the Asiafruit Congress on 1 September to look back at the changes in Asia’s fresh fruit and vegetable trade over the past 20 years, and to project market demand through to 2025.

Asiafruit Magazine is surveying leading industry players on the key changes they have witnessed over the past two decades, and their predictions for the future, ahead of the conference.

The findings of the survey will be presented in the opening session of the Asiafruit Congress, which takes place on 1 September at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo Centre, when Asiafruit Magazine will be joined by a panel of industry experts.

The survey will focus on the Asian market and aims to measure the major gains the region’s fresh produce trade has made over the past 20 years. It also seeks to identify the trends that are likely to shape the market over the next 10 years, and the key opportunities and challenges ahead.

Asia’s fresh produce trade has witnessed dramatic growth and change over the past 20 years, but there is a huge amount of development still to come with the influence of factors such as economic growth and infrastructural investment, digital and social media, and trade liberalisation.

What’s the most important change you have seen in Asia’s fresh fruit and vegetable business over the past 20 years? How is Asia going to shape the global trade in the next 10 years? And which markets, products and suppliers are going to see the most exciting growth in the future?

“It’s a quick and confidential survey, so I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes to give us just a few short answers that will help us effectively take the temperature of the business in Asia,” commented John Hey, editor of Asiafruit Congress organiser Asiafruit. “No-one knows the business better than those who work in it every day, so what we’re hoping is that we can help combine that collective knowledge and share it with everyone.”
