#nuts30days30ways

Australians are being encouraged to eat a handful of nuts every day for the month of March and share their nutty creations via social media to win weekly prizes.

The activity is part of the #nuts30days30ways campaign being coordinated by Nuts for Life, a nutrition and health education initiative established for the Australian tree nut industry.

Now in its second year, the campaign aims to dismiss misconceptions about nuts leading to weight gain. This year’s activity will have a particular focus on fitness, with celebrity trainerLibby Babetfrom television series The Biggest Loser brought onboard as the official #nuts30days30waysambassador.

“Including some healthy fats in my diet makes me feel so much more energetic and helps to seriously cut down on sweet cravings,” Babet said. “I find my body looks and feels best when I count nutrients rather than calories, so nuts are a nutrient packed snack for my active and busy lifestyle.”

Nut eaters are being encouraged to follow Babet on Instagram for workout inspirations and nut recipe suggestions. Consumers can also inspire others by taking a pic and sharing it via Nuts for Life’s social media channels. By adding the hashtag #nuts30days30ways to their photo, consumers go into a draw to win weekly prizes of nuts and a Lorna Jane gift card.
