Mastronardi Produce has welcomed a record-breaking sailor back to US shores after he became the youngest person to sail around the world solo.
Zac Sunderland, who at just 17 is the first person to complete the journey before their 18th birthday, arrived in California yesterday (16 July) after 13 months of sailing.
As a key sponsor of the trip, Mastronardi Produce/Sunset and Produce for Kids were present to help Mr Sunderland mark the end of his 28,000-mile voyage.
'We are very proud to be associated with this world record-breaking event and we applaud Zac for his courage and determination to complete the journey,' said group marketing manager Chris Veillon.
Mastronardi originally signed on to support the trip in June 2008, helped Mr Sunderland's cause by shipping fresh greenhouse-grown vegetables to the young sailor during his journey.
