Annual fresh produce industry trade fair Macfrut will take place in Cesena, in the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna, between 7-9 October 2009, representatives of organising company Cesena Fiera have confirmed.
Traditionally held in mid-April to early May, the event has been switched to the autumn for the first time in order to fit in better with the Italian fresh fruit and vegetable export trade calendar.
Cesena Fiera president Domenico Scarpellini said the new dates would offer a chance for buyers and suppliers to meet in between the end of most summer campaigns and the start of autumn seasons for the majority of European and Mediterranean countries.
