Latest estimate from Proarándanos puts 2026/27 export crop at 344,000 tonnes

Peru’s blueberry industry association Proarándanos has published its sixth export forecast for 2026/27. It anticipates a shipment total of 344,000 tonnes, 6.1 per cent down on the last forecast and 10.3 per cent below last season’s 383,000 tonnes.
The association said the latest fall reflects the impact of weather conditions over the last few weeks, which has affected plant development.
Shipments peaked in week 40 at 14,600 tonnes – 30.1 per cent lower than the peak recorded during the same week of the previous season.
For the remainder of year (weeks 41 through 53), Proarándanos anticipates shipments of 133,500 tonnes. This is 24.7 per cent down on the 177,300 tonnes shipped during the same period of the previous season. Between January and April 2027, the association estimates a volume of 46,600 tonnes, 5.3 per cent less than the 49,200 tonnes exported the previous year.
“This phase carries the greatest uncertainty, as seasonal rainfall could significantly impact the projected volumes,” the organisation stated.
