Provid pegs crop at 84.2mn cartons, down from initial forecast of 86mn
The Peruvian Table Grape Producers Association (Provid) says it expects to ship 84.2mn (8.2kg) cartons in 2025/26, slightly below the 86mn cartons originally forecast.

This downward adjustment is due to weather factors, variations in yields per hectare, and strategic field management decisions, the association said.
As of the end of week 4 of 2026, the sector has already shipped more than 72mn cartons, leaving around 12mn cartons remaining to be exported. Shipments are expected to conclude in week 17.
Northern regions account for 53 per cent of total supply, equivalent to 38.5mn cartons, with the remainder coming from the south.
According to Provid, the varietal landscape reflects a clear market preference for seedless grapes. White seedless varieties lead the ranking with 42.8mn cartons, an increase of 8 per cent compared to the previous season.
Production of red seedless is up 5 per cent at 18.6mn cartons. In contrast, traditional varieties such as Red Globe and black seedless continue their downward trend, losing ground to new licensed varieties.
The US was once again Peru’s leading market, taking 52 per cent of total exports, with the Netherlands in second place. Provid said the Mexican market has also shown notable growth compared to last season.
