The Romagna PGI Peaches and Nectarines Consortium has launched a two-year marketing campaign for one of Emilia-Romagna’s most iconic fruits.

The “Romagna PGI Peaches and Nectarines – Summer Tastes Better” campaign, co-financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region, aims to raise awareness of the PGI certification, support member companies and strengthen the connection between consumers, local production and the territory.

“More than a promotional campaign, this initiative tells a new story about summer, where Romagna PGI Peaches and Nectarines become a symbol of wellbeing, conviviality and the joy of living,” the consortium said. “These fruits represent far more than certified origin: they embody a lifestyle built around slowing down, sharing meaningful moments and rediscovering the value of simple things.”

The campaign features social media content celebrating the moments when “Summer Tastes Better” – a day at the beach, an aperitif with friends, a picnic, a sunset, a countryside escape or a refreshing break. It seeks to make the product part of authentic everyday experiences, speaking first to emotions and then to nutrition.

Content Creators and influencers will receive a custom-designed lifebuoy featuring the campaign slogan in a bid to make it the campaign’s visual signature, appearing in photographs, reels and spontaneous social content.

The promotion will include a number of B2B activities. A major event scheduled for April 2027 will bring together buyers, stakeholders and journalists for an immersive experience that anticipates the arrival of summer while presenting the product in an original, engaging and emotionally consistent way. It also features a national radio campaign.

The initiative is promoted by the Romagna PGI Peaches and Nectarines Consortium, whose members comprise Agribologna, Apo Conerpo (with Alegra and Naturitalia), Apofruit, AOP Italia, Consorzio Il Frutteto, Consorzio Ortofrutticolo di Romagna, Granfrutta Zani, Orogel Fresco, Tozzi Frutta and Zavoli.
