Windward Islands Banana Development and Exporting Company (UK) Limited has revealed that is has undergone a name change to keep in line with future developments into wider ranges of produce.
The group is now trading under then name Winfresh (UK) Limited, although there will be no change to trading offices, telephone numbers company registration and VAT numbers, Winfresh said in a statement.
'The change is in keeping with the company's business development vision, which will encompass a wider range of fresh produce and agro-processed products,' the group said.
In due course, Winfresh will also phase in a new logo, it added.
The Windward Islands in the eastern Caribbean consist of Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Lucia and Dominica, and have been supplying bananas to UK supermarkets for over 50 years.
