Pinduoduo is China’s largest online agriculture marketplace, connecting more than 16m farmers with an active customer base of more than 824m buyers.

Join global leaders, experts and visionaries at the nexus of agri-food tech research, investment and policy at the Pinduoduo Food Systems Forum on 14-15 July. The event will discuss pressing issues surrounding the US$10 trillion global food system and explore how technology can transform what we eat and how we eat.

Organising the forum is part of Pinduoduo’s multifaceted efforts to promote knowledge creation and sharing in the agrifood and related industries.

Pinduoduo was named a pioneer in digital agriculture at the 2020 World Digital Agriculture Conference for its pioneering work in integrating digital technology and modern agriculture.

The company has brought a systems approach to tackling the inter-related issues at various points of the agricultural value chain, committing substantial resources and investments to solve entrenched structural problems in the industry.

Pinduoduo’s initiatives include improving downstream market access for farmers and training younger e-commerce talent as well as revamping midstream logistics infrastructure to reduce waste, lower costs and speed up the delivery of agricultural products. Pinduoduo also works with industry partners and universities to develop upstream technology to increase the resilience of the food supply chain.
