Team Jazz

A new sponsorship scheme created by Jazz Apples to back the development of young athletes has kicked off with the formation of 'Team Jazz', a group of 10 young sportspeople who will be supported with cash funding, a publicity campaign and free kit.

Chosen from a host of applicants and representing a variety of activities including rowing, basketball, winter sports, cycling and athletics among others, the team members will become brand ambassadors for Jazz Apples to highlight the link between healthy eating and sport.

'The Team Jazz activity has been an exciting part of a very successful media awareness campaign for Jazz Apples,' said commercial manager Gary Harrison. 'Not only does this activity provide us with ten excellent brand ambassadors to spread the word of Jazz, but it helps us to continue to position the brand and highlight core brand values.'

And he is confident that the group selected will prove worthy ambassadors for the brand: 'We feel that the ten successful candidates have big futures ahead of them and epitomise the Jazz brand through their chosen sport, personality and achievements.'

The Team Jazz concept is the latest move by Jazz Apples following a year that has included promotion in national and regional media, competitions, the sponsorship of extreme sports athlete Tim Emmett and sampling sessions at the Taste of London and Good Food Show events.
