Yuksel Seeds will exhibit at Asia Fruit Logistica for the first time as it targets growing opportunities across China and the wider Asian market

Yuksel Seeds has revealed that it will make its first ever appearance at Asia Fruit Logistica this year, with the event taking place in Hong Kong on 2-4 September.
The group said that its appearance in Hong Kong marks a milestone in its global expansion strategy, strengthening its presence in ”one of the world’s most dynamic horticultural markets”.
China in particular has become an increasingly important market for Yuksel Seeds over the years, it noted.
“We are delighted to participate in Asia Fruit Logistica for the first time and showcase varieties that bring real value to growers, traders and consumers,” said Ismail Gülsoy, area sales manager Asia-Pacific at Yuksel.
“China and the wider Asian market are becoming increasingly important for Yuksel Seeds, and we see strong opportunities for both our premium tomato portfolio and our innovative pepper varieties.
”This exhibition gives us the opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, build new relationships and better understand the needs of the market,” he outlined.
Visitors to the Yuksel Seeds stand will see the company’s latest developments across its vegetable portfolio, including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, aubergines, melons and watermelons.
Among the highlights will be Sweetloom, Yuksel Seeds’ premium heirloom tomato, which has twice received the Superior Taste Award from the International Taste Institute, achieving the highest three-star rating on both occasions.
The company will also present its three-colour Kapia pepper concept, including Herat (red), Gizem (orange) and Delight (yellow), as well as its ’Creamy Cucumber 2025’ project.
Yuksel said it is also looking further down the value chain, working more closely with retailers and foodservice partners to help bring more vegetables to consumers and encourage greater consumption.
“Our aim is to create awareness around our premium varieties among retailers and foodservice partners, showing not only the quality of our products, but also how they can be used and enjoyed by consumers,” explained Nico van Vliet, downstream integration lead at Yuksel.
Asia Fruit Logistica ”marks the beginning of a new chapter in its relationship with the Asian market”, the group added.
”Through its local team and close cooperation with distributors and partners, the company continues to expand its presence while developing varieties that respond to the needs of local growers and changing consumer preferences.”
