Cameroon’s banana exports were 7 per cent higher in 2025, according to a report by Investir au Cameroun.

Citing new data from industry body Assobacam, shipments to foreign markets reached 225,345 tonnes last year, compared with 210,686 tonnes in 2024.

The report suggests two exporters, Compagnie des bananes de Mondoni (CDBM) and Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) were responsible for the increase.

CDBM, a subsidiary of French group Compagnie Fruitière, registered a 69.5 per cent increase to 23,814 tonnes, while state-owned CDC’s exports apparently rose 33.6 per cent to 42,286 tonnes.

Compagnie Fruitière’s other subsidiary in the country, Plantations du Haut Penja (PHP), saw a very slight downturn in foreign sales to 151,713 tonnes.

As reported in November last year, Boh Plantations has ceased banana exports. Its assets were reportedly acquired by CDBM and PHP.
