Fresh Healthy Vending has launched its Fresh Healthy Initiative, which offers US$100 for referrals that lead to the installation of one of its vending machines.
The company from San Diego, CA, was set up with the aim of replacing 2,000 junk-food vending machines with healthy-food equivalents and has US$200k set aside to pay for replaced machines.
Fresh Healthy vending machines are stocked only with healthy foods, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
CEO Jolly Backer said: "Replacing the unhealthy machines with healthy ones is a win-win situation. People will be rewarded for making the decision, and their employees, customers and visitors will enjoy healthy, convenient options."
