With a catchy new slogan and imagery set against Dublin landmarks, the 130-year-old brand aims to reinforce its position as one of Ireland’s most beloved food brands while appealing to new generations
Fyffes has launched a new campaign in Ireland to put its branded bananas in the spotlight.
With the call to action ’Eat ’em… Like ’em… Love ’em!, the marketer said it wanted to convince consumers to try the fruit and in doing so come to trust the Fyffes brand.
“Fyffes isn’t just well known and loved across Ireland, it is a trailblazer,” commented Raquel Rotberg, the group’s global marketing manager. “For over 130 years, we have been shaping consumer trust in fruit, and with this new campaign, we’re showing the world that, while rooted in history, our brand is playful, innovative, and ready to delight new generations.”
Rotberg also revealed that more marketing projects would be rolled out over the autumn, winter, and into 2026. “Our lips are sealed right now but there’s plenty more playful surprises to come,” she added.
With its catchy call to action, the playful new campaign offers light-hearted relief from the downbeat daily news churn.
It features Fyffes bananas being enjoyed by consumers in unusual situations, against a backdrop of well-known Irish landmarks such as Dublin’s Poolbeg chimneys and the Samuel Beckett Bridge.
Its launch coincides with a mix of social media, radio, outdoor, bus, and point-of-sale advertising, all geared towards reaffirming Fyffes’ position as one of Ireland’s most iconic food brands.
“Fyffes is about more than bananas. It’s about joy, nostalgia, and a little mischief,” says Emma Hunt-Duffy, the brand’s head of marketing in Ireland. “This campaign is our way of putting Fyffes front and centre, bringing levity into a serious world, and reminding people why they’ve always loved our brand and our fruit.”
Fyffes ranks as one of the hundred leading consumer brands in Ireland, according to a recent Brand Footprint report. It was also named by Ipsos Research as Ireland’s favourite banana and pineapple brand in 2022.
