The UK-based retailer is investing heavily in its successful store concept, in which fresh fruit and vegetables feature prominently

British upmarket retailer Marks & Spencer has reportedly earmarked around £90mn for eleven store renewals and six new openings in the UK capital. That includes a major refurbishment of this, its iconic Pantheon store on Oxford Street, where it has made space for a transformed food department that reopened in August 2025.

The company’s Foodhall concept has certainly brought a lot of fresh energy to its fruit and veg offer in recent years, and this latest version is no exception.

It’s a well-ordered and neatly presented collection of top-quality produce from all across the UK as well as abroad. And the mouthwatering sourdough pizzas being freshly made right there on the spot only helps to get shoppers in the mood for food.
