MD of renowned jam maker Wilkin & Sons is installed as livery company’s master for 2026

Wilkin & Sons boss Chris Newenham has taken up his new role as master of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers.
He has headed up jam manufacturer Wilkin & Sons, famous for its Tiptree brand, since 2016. Prior to that, he was the company’s farms director.
Newenham joined the Fruiterers in 2011 and is a former chairman of their Awards Council. He also sits on the NFU Horticulture and Potatoes board and is a Nuffield Farming Scholar, with a particular interest in sustainable horticulture, water conservation, the application of technology, and the power of employee-owned businesses – Wilkin & Sons being one of them.
“I am truly honoured and humbled to have been installed as master of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers, an ancient City livery company whose tradition dates back over 700 years and continues to thrive today,” he said.
“I am looking forward to building on the excellent work of my predecessors and would like to thank the immediate past master, wardens and liverymen for their support.”
