Mexico is set to produce around 91,700 tonnes of blueberries in 2025/26, according to national association Aneberries.

As reported by Blueberries Consulting, the country’s blueberry exports have seen a notable decline in recent seasons.

However, new investment in the planting of better varieties has apparently contributed to a reversal of that trend.

In 2024/25, it exported 63,658 tonnes according to USDA figures, down slightly on the previous campaign’s 63,701 tonnes, but well below the 79,305 tonnes exported in 2022/23.

This time around, Mexico’s blueberry exports are expected to be approximately 68,775 tonnes, around 75 per cent of the total crop.
