Bonduelle

It has been announced that a Bonduelle processing plant in Tucumseh in Ontario, Canada, will be the beneficiary of a C$2.2m investment from Ontario's Rural Economic Development Programme.

Bonduelle will use the money to install new state-of-the-art processing technology for celery, beans, peas and corn, Strathroy Age Dispatch reported.

'The innovations we're supporting mean that more of the delicious vegetables we grow right here in southwestern Ontario will end up on ourtables,' said local MMP Maria Van Bommel, making the announcement. 'There is no doubt that this project is strengthening our region's agri-food sector and creating new opportunities for local farmers.'
