Maersk

Silvia Ding has been announced as the new head of Maersk Line South China, from 1 November.

“South China is a key market for Maersk Line’s global business which will continue to provide many opportunities to grow partnerships with our current and potential customers in the region,” Ding told Sino Ship News.

Ding will be based in Hong Kong, taking over from David Skov who is relocating to Lagos as managing director for APM Terminals, according to Sino Ship News.

The announcement follows a regional reshuffle for Maersk, which announced two new roles in its Asia Pacific team in August and appointed Lars Mikael Jensen as regional CEO of Asia-Pacific on 1 September.
