French and Spanish strawberry growers met in Agen, France earier this month to agree on a joint working programme in the field of phytosanitary improvements, while also discussing the prospects for the upcoming season.
According to a report by Fepex, growers agreed to undertake an analysis of the availability of plant protection products to strawberry producers in the Mediterranean region.
This year's strawberry production is expected to grow by 8 per cent in France and 2 per cent in Spain, it was revealed.
