Hamburg-based logistics group OPDR has announced the launch of a new regional office in Milan, reinforcing what it called a 'strong presence' in the Mediterranean region while enhancing its multimodal supply chain.
According to OPDR, the new regional office allows the company to get even better access to the Italian market than before.
'The superb location in the middle of northern Italy provides ideal conditions to build business relationships with regional customers in the sector of fast moving goods, such as producers and exporters of fresh fruits and vegetables, retailers or wine traders,' the group stated. 'Situated in the CMA CGM Italy offices in in the heart of Milan, the new office also brings OPDR into close working cooperation with the colleagues from CMA CGM creating valuable synergies.'
Additionally, OPDR pointed out that its multimodal transport solutions connect Italy with the rest of the European mainland and the UK – regular fast train connections between Milan and Rotterdam round out OPDR’s Italy portfolio. From Rotterdam, customers can then revert to the established OPDR services such as the recently revised AGAX or CISS.
