This season, Turkish exporter Aksun has stepped up its investment, according to the company's Esra Soyleyen.
The company has acquired a fully automated packing line manufactured by MAF Roda.
The new machine, which features 14 exits and automatic palletisers, is reportedly able to pack 25 tonnes of lemons or 50 tonnes of grapefruit per hour.
“We now have two specialised packing lines for citrus and two for onions,” Ms Soyleyen told Fruitnet.com. “We also have started to pack with Girsac packaging using our eight new machines from Sorma.”
