Australia and New Zealand remain key suppliers to the Asia market for premium fresh produce across an array of categories. This year will see exhibitors from the region showcasing local industries, brands, marketing efforts and company restructures all aimed at serving Asia’s thriving markets

Off the back of a successful launch for WA Farm Direct’s Soluna apple into China this June, the Australian marketer will again spotlight its striking burgundy apple at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

The exporter’s stand will also feature its range of Ondine flat stonefruit along with Australian-grown table grapes and citrus, which all saw sustained growth over the recent summer season.

“AFL provides us a great venue to touch base with our current customers and meet new potential customers,” says executive manager, Rebecca Blackman adding that the company will be targeting new markets for its Ondine flat stonefruit and table grape offering this year.

At Asia Fruit Logistica 2026, United Exports will showcase its Southern Hemisphere blueberry production featuring premium fruit from Australia, Peru, and South Africa. The business continues to build strong momentum, driven by significant developments over the past 12 months – most notably its rapid growth in Latin America, with Peruvian production expanding and supply to the Chinese market increasing year on year.

“This progress has been supported by an expanding team across China, Africa, and Australia, and we look forward to introducing both new and familiar faces to our valued partners from across the region,” says Mark Pidgeon, sales director for Asia.

“We are also excited to highlight new market access opportunities, particularly into Vietnam for our Australian production, and look forward to connecting with partners in this dynamic market.”

Hort Innovation

Hort Innovation, the levy-funded research and development organisation supporting Australia’s horticulture industry, will again bring together growers, exporters and industry partners under a coordinated presence at the Australia pavilion.Throughout the week, the organisation’s focus will be on creating connections between Australian horticulture and key buyers across Asia.

“Over the past year we’ve strengthened our Team Australia approach, making it easier for businesses to participate and access export opportunities through a more coordinated and accessible pavilion model,” says general manager, trade & biosecurity R&D, Mila Bristow.

“As Asia remains a key focus for Australian horticulture, AFL provides a unique opportunity to engage both existing and emerging markets, and for many exhibitors it’s an important first step in building relationships with new customers across the region.”

Avocados Australia, the industry body supporting Australian avocado growers and exporters, will bring together the industry at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Australian growers, learn more about our growing regions and year-round supply, and see fresh Australian avocados on display,” says general manager - export, Flora Zhang.

“We’re also bringing one of our successful consumer engagement activities to the booth, giving visitors an interactive and hands-on experience while learning more about Australian avocados.”

This year the organisation will host a networking breakfast on 3 September providing the latest Australian avocado industry updates, a preview of its new global brand direction and international marketing campaign, as well as avocado-inspired dishes prepared to showcase the versatility of Australian avocados.

“We welcome importers, retailers, foodservice professionals and industry stakeholders who are interested in Australian avocados to join us,” Zhang says.

This year has seen Freshmax Group undergo significant changes following the company’s acquisition by Sydney-based alternative investment manager, Roc Partners.

In February the company announced the appointment of Reg Weine as its new chief executive officer and at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica, the company will reintroduce its export operations, previously known as Valleyfresh, under the same Freshmax name.

“All the export operations from Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru and the US have rebranded as Freshmax Group companies and we are excited to showcase this change,” says general manager Ryan Smith.As part of the reintroduction, the Freshmax stand will offer Frehsmax-branded merch alongside samples of Australiangrown Tangold mandarins.

“The Tangold mandarin is an incredibly popular piece of fruit right across Asia and into the US and we are lucky that September is peak season for this mandarin – making it an excellent time to come and sample the fruit with us.”

Seeka connects international markets with quality Australian and New Zealand produce through a carefully curated supply chain that ensures its produce arrives on time and in optimal condition.

Last year, the company launched its first Australian-branded product, the red nashi variety, Ruby Roo, which had a strong response in the Australian domestic market.

At this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica, Seeka will continue to build momentum for Ruby Roo as it enters its second commercial year, with an eye towards developing export partnerships.

“Our strategy for 2026 is to continue to build the Ruby Roo brand and customer base already established domestically in Australia and carefully evaluate opportunities for export markets where a pathway is available,” says sales manager Cameron Carter.

Cherry Growers Australia (CGA), the peak industry body representing Australian cherry growers and exporters, will attend this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica to showcase the industry under the Australian Cherries brand.

Following a standout season with record export value, CGA will spotlight the freshness, premium quality and exceptional eating experience that it says sets Australian cherries apart.

“As all Australian cherries are airfreighted to international markets, they can reach customers within 72 hours of harvest,” says CEO Penny Measham. “This freshness story is central to the Australian Cherries brand and reflects the care, quality and commitment of growers across Australia’s key cherry-producing regions.”

Alongside connecting with importers, retailers, distributors and industry partners, CGA will also unveil its new mascot, Karu the kangaroo, following a limited appearance in Hong Kong’s retail market last season.

T&G Global will co-exhibit alongside its plant variety commercialisation business, VentureFruit, at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

The New Zealand apple grower, exporter and marketer will again showcase its premium apple brands Envy and Jazz, sharing marketing collateral around the Envy promise to ‘Reach for Exceptional’ which inspires consumers to elevate everyday moments.

The company will also highlight the newest addition to its premium apple portfolio, Joli, which is set to celebrate its commercial global launch into Vietnam in September.

VentureFruit will showcase its portfolio of next-generation fruit varieties, with a particular focus on Tutti apples which are bred specifically for hot climates, combining strong grower performance with a premium consumer experience.

Australian cherry grower-exporter Cherry Hill will spotlight its range of premium cherries and cherry juice at this year’s event.

The company’s premium line CherryHill Grower’s Choice, which showcases the highest quality fruit from each harvest in terms of flavour, brix, firmness and colour, has entered its second season and will be on display at the CGA stand.

“The premium quality of Grower’s Choice remains our focus again this year, particularly given the strong alignment with consumer expectations across our key export markets in Asia,” says marketing manager Phoebe Morley.

The company will also showcase its recently launched Pure Cherry Juice, which is made from 100 per cent Australian cherries.

“We feel the introduction of our cherry juice will complement our existing fresh cherry business and channels, giving our customers and partners the opportunity to keep the CherryHill brand on shelves year-round, rather than only during the traditional cherry season,” Morely said.

Évo Hass, an Australian-headquartered brand built to help shoppers choose the right avocado for the right eating occasion, will be exhibiting at Asia Fruit Logistica for the first time this year.

Following the successful launch of programmes in both Malaysia and Hong Kong earlier this year, the company is looking to expand its networks of licensee partners, importers, retailers and premium avocado suppliers across Asia and the Middle East.

“We are particularly interested in partners who can support premium retail programmes, consistent supply, strong execution and long-term category development,” says CEO Troy Agosti.

To demonstrate the Évo model, the Évo Hass stand will showcase its branded trays, QR labels, retail point-of-sale material, twin-pack formats, the consumer scanning experience, ordering platform and analytics dashboard for retail and supply partners.

New Zealand-based apple and pear innovation company, Prevar, will again showcase its Piqa Red Pear at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica as the brand continues to gain momentum following a brand refresh in 2025.

“We also hold our Annual Global Piqa Licensee Meeting [at AFL], bringing together partners from around the world to connect on the strategy and future direction of the Piqa programme,” says brand manager Amanda Lyon adding that there are “exciting” new Piqa selections currently in pre-commercial stage.

“We are planning to progress from testing into initial commercial plantings from next year,” she says.

Alongside Piqa, Prevar we will also showcase its wider portfolio of premium apple varieties including Dazzle, Sassy, Posh and Fizz throughout the event.

At Asia Fruit Logistica 2026, Detpak will showcase its range of packaging solutions designed to help fresh produce growers, exporters and distributors improve shelf appeal, operational efficiency and sustainability outcomes.

“Our focus this year is on demonstrating how innovative packaging can help customers balance operational performance, consumer appeal and environmental responsibility,” says regional sales manager industrial – Australasia, Mark Rohrlach.

Key highlights will include the packaging provider’s range of top-seal punnet, window flow wrap and rewind solutions, as well as cartons designed specifically for automated packing lines.“These solutions have been developed to support the evolving needs of fresh produce businesses, delivering packaging performance while helping reduce material usage and improve pack presentation throughout the supply chain,” Rohrlach says.

Australian importer-exporter FT Farming Group will again showcase its integrated fresh produce offering at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

The past 12 months has been a period of significant growth for the group, which has seen gains across its domestic, export and import markets.

“We have continued to build our network of Australian growers, expanded our Vietnamese sourcing programmes for coconuts and dragon fruit, and reinforced our position as a trusted marketer of Australian citrus, grapes, mangoes and avocados,” says managing director, Craig Taylor.

The company will also showcase its premium brand portfolio including Harvest Way, Flamango, Black Sheep, Dark Horse and Aussie Emu at the event.

“Following our strong business growth, we are actively seeking to expand our customer base across a number of strategic international markets,” explains Taylor. “Our primary focus is Asia, particularly Japan, Vietnam and Thailand, where demand for premium Australian fresh produce and trusted year-round supply continues to grow. We are also looking to strengthen relationships throughout the South Pacific, while expanding our presence in Canada and the broader North American market.”

RD8 Fresh Produce

Since it was founded 17 years ago, New Zealand apple grower-exporter RD8 has continued to develop and grow its sales reach with the introduction of IP apple varieties including Dazzle, Tarzi, Jazz, Kanzi and Koru, alongside mainstream varieties including Royal Gala, NZ Queen, NZ Rose, Fuji, Granny Smith, and Pink Lady.

At this year’s show, the company will highlight its Tarzi and Dazzle offering alongside its New Zealand cherry business.

“RD8 is also actively working to introduce new apple IP material to the market and will be happy to share some opportunities with customers at this year’s show,” says business development manager, Murray Linnell.

The exporter has long sent fruit to the China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, and India markets and is looking to expand further in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia in coming years.

“The Middle East remains a development focus and hopefully prospects will improve once tensions in the region settle,” Linnell says. “The RD8 team will welcome visits from any customers, existing or potential, to the stand.”

NZ Avocados, the industry body supporting New Zealand’s avocado sector, will facilitate the return of exporters Avanza, Darling Group and The NZ Avocado Group within the New Zealand pavilion at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

“The three exporters will showcase New Zealand Hass avocados, the quality and integrity behind New Zealand production systems and the opportunity for customers to access fruit during New Zealand’s complementary Southern Hemisphere season,” says CEO Brad Siebert. “The collective presence will also highlight the FernMark, reinforcing New Zealand’s reputation as a trusted origin for safe, high-quality food.”

Visitors will be able to meet with each exporter to discuss their own commercial programmes and supply opportunities across Asia and North America.

“Our focus at Asia Fruit Logistica will be on strengthening relationships with existing customers while meeting prospective importers, retailers, ripeners and foodservice partners seeking premium New Zealand avocados,” Siebert says.

Darling Group will highlight its premium brands, Darling Avocado and Jake’s Avocado at the dedicated New Zealand avocado section of the New Zealand pavilion.The grower-marketer will use the trade show to highlight its year-round supply model, supported through strategic sourcing partnerships in New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Chile, Mexico and the US.
