Honour rounds off the 50th anniversary celebrations for the second-tier cooperative
Anecoop has been recognised by the Valencian Community Agri-food Business Federation with a Fedacova Internationalization Award in its 50th anniversary year.

At a ceremony held on Wednesday at the Bancaja Foundation headquarters in Valencia, Anecoop’s president, Alejandro Monzón, said: “It is an honour that a business federation representing the entire value chain of the agri-food sector recognises the work and effort of all of us who are and have been part of Anecoop throughout our 50-year history”.
He said internationalization had been one of the organisation’s strengths since its inception. Anecoop was founded in 1975 with a clear export focus. In 1979, it launched its first subsidiary in France, and since then has grown to consolidate its own international sales and logistics network, comprised of eleven subsidiaries in nine countries.
According to Monzón, this network “enables us to provide a swift response and a close, efficient service to our international clients. When we combine this with a very attractive offering in terms of volume, range, and availability, we find the key to Anecoop’s success in foreign markets”.
Anecoop integrates, coordinates, and markets the production of more than 20,000 farmers belonging to its 61 member organisations located in Spain’s main agricultural regions. Its offering comprises a wide range of citrus fruits, other fruits, vegetables, wines, flowers, juices, and ready-to-eat (V Range) produce, which are sold in 74 countries.
Monzón said: “The values forged in that cooperative project that emerged five decades ago remain intact. Our commitment to people, communities, and a sustainable and resilient future guides our roadmap”.
He highlighted the importance of launching the Anecoop Sustainability Observatory, a pioneering initiative serving its members, and the company’s promotion of integration and inter-cooperation processes among its member organisations, with the aim of strengthening their structures and making them more attractive to young professionals in the agricultural sector.
