Company participated in the technical forum on hygiene, quality, and automation with a presentation on water management and food safety

Citrosol’s Citrocide Fresh-Cut technology, designed to ensure hygienic, safe, and sustainable washing of minimally processed fruits and vegetables, was the centrepiece of Kronen’s Customer Day, which took place on 25 and 26 September in Kehl am Rhein, Germany.

The event brought together more than 200 attendees from 45 countries and served as an international showcase for Kronen, which specialises in machinery and systems for the processing of fresh-cut fruits, vegetables and salads.

At the Technical Forum on Hygiene, Quality, and Automation, Dr Martín Mottura of Citrosol gave a presentation on Water Management and Food Safety in Post-Harvest Washing Operations. He analysed the current status of water management in washing processes in the fresh-cut industry based on the results recently published by EFSA (European Food Safety Agency).

During his presentation, Mottura explained how the Citrocide Fresh-Cut integrated system hygienic washing of minimally processed fruits and vegetables, increasing food safety in an efficient and sustainable manner.
