Major Italian fresh produce companies return in force for Berlin trade fair as part of major stand organised by CSO Italy and Fruitimprese

More than 30 Italian fruit and veg companies will exhibit at next week’s Fruit Logistica in Berlin as part of the Italy Group, coordinated by CSO Italy in collaboration with Fruitimprese.
The companies, whose shared exhibition space covers approximately 1,000 sq m, will again form the beating heart of Hall 2.2 at the world’s leading fresh produce trade fair, which takes place on 4-6 February 2026.
They include some of the biggest names in the business – among them Alegra, Apofruit Italia, Battaglio, Granfrutta Zani, Jingold, Mazzoni, Mediterraneo Group, Naturitalia, Salvi Unacoa, and Terremerse – as well as the Region of Calabria.
“Berlin remains an important point of reference,” says CSO Italy president Paolo Bruni, “and the presence of so many leading companies in the national sector in the Italy Group demonstrates this.”
The collective will host a number of important events, starting with a stand inauguration – scheduled for 11am on Wednesday, 4 February – to which Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida has been invited.
The event will also involve Bruni, Fruitimprese president Marco Salvi, APO Conerpo and Finaf president Davide Vernocchi, the head of Italy’s Ministry of Agriculture Felice Assenza, and Paolo De Castro, former MEP and president of Nomisma.
On the same day at 3:30pm, Bestack Consortium, CSO Italy, and MyFruit will present the winners of their Best Fruit & Veg Box contest.
Now in its third year, the project recognises the best corrugated cardboard packaging solutions for sustainability, design, and functionality.
At 11am on Thursday, 5 February, the Italy area will host another event called Dolce Passione, followed at 12pm by a workshop hosted by the Consorzio del Limone di Siracusa, which will review the activities of the European project LemON – Limone di Siracusa PGI.
In the afternoon, at 2:30pm, there will be a conference organised by Legacoop in collaboration with the University of Parma, entitled ‘Waste4Soil: from food waste to soil nourishment’.
Friday, 6 February, sees other events take place. These include a meeting of the kiwifruit production group IKO.
The Italy area will also host CSO Italy’s Berry Swing project, which promotes berries in the European market.
And the collective’s stands will not only be animated by events and business meetings, but also offer tastings at the Calabria Region stand, featuring pairings of fruit and vegetables with typical PGI and PDO products.
