The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has announced that Kevin Marchetti, co-founder and co-executive chairman of the world’s largest temperature-controlled logistics business Lineage, will join the roster of expert speakers at the European Cold Chain Conference 2026.

The event, which takes place 18-20 March 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, brings together professionals working in temperature-controlled logistics from across Europe to discuss the industry’s challenges and opportunities, to share knowledge and to explore innovation.

One of the largest private REITs in the world, Lineage owns and operates more than 475 warehouses in 18 countries around the globe. From the GCCA European Cold Chain Conference stage, Marchetti will discuss the current cold chain trends that are fundamentally reshaping business models and give his unique insights into building resilience and driving growth in uncertain times.

Alongside Marchetti, expert speakers featured in the conference programme include Andrew Mates (managing director, Europe, Americold); Abhy Maharaj (chief growth and transformation officer, Constellation Cold Logistics); Chris Hegadorn (adjunct professor of global food politics, SciencesPo Paris); Aurélien Gagnon (supply chain specialist, Auchan); Marc Galant (innovation maker and global offering leader, IBM); Jonathan Cook (Constellation Cold Logistics), and Sara Stickler (GCCA president and CEO).

Stickler commented: “We are delighted these esteemed leaders will take the stage at the GCCA European Cold Chain Conference in Düsseldorf in March. This conference brings together global and European cold chain leaders with world-leading academics, European policy officials, and experts from fields beyond logistics.

“It creates a unique opportunity to share knowledge, challenge existing thinking, discuss solutions to common challenges, and develop new relationships. In a time of fast-paced shifts in policy and trade, gathering for these important discussions is crucial as our industry moves forward into the months and years ahead”.

The GCCA European Cold Chain conference programme will include explorations of the secure, modern borders needed for European food trade; capital access in Europe amid economic shifts; cyber security in the era of AI; technological innovation in temperature-controlled logistics; and European frozen food markets.

The conference will also feature a ‘Cold Chain Café’ for roundtable discussions on a range of the industry’s priority topics; social events and networking opportunities; and the chance to visit the PicNic Facility in Oberhausen.
