Germany, France and the Netherlands were the leading EU markets for Spanish fresh produce, while exports to non-EU countries also showed strong growth of 19 per cent
Spain’s fruit and vegetable exports to the EU reached €7.697bn in the January-May period, representing 81 per cent of the country’s total fresh produce exports of €9.46bn.

Fresh fruits and vegetables worth €1.763bn were exported outside the EU, an increase of 19 per cent compared to the same period last year, Fepex reported.
Germany, France and the Netherlands were the leading EU markets, the body outlined, with the UK the largest non-EU market.
Exports to Germany in the first five months of the year amounted to €2.792bn, 11 per cent more than in the same period of 2024.
France took on Spanish fresh produce worth €1.455bn, up 8 per cent, and the Netherlands brought in €809,815 of Spanish fruit and vegetables, 9 per cent more than in 2024.
