Dyson Farming will host two open days for pea and bean growers, breeders and agronomists, organised by the Processors and Growers Research Organisation (PGRO).

The open days will offer vining pea and pulse growers the chance to see the latest trials and evaluation work first hand.

Vining pea work will be showcased on 15 June, with combinable pea and bean growers welcomed on 30 June.

“We really encourage pea and bean growers to come and see the work we’re doing on behalf of the industry, and share their experiences, challenges, successes with us,” said PGRO CEO Roger Vickers.

“We carry out a huge amount of work to gain a better understanding of pest and disease pressure, evaluate varieties, and explore new production techniques,” he continued.

“These open days are a fantastic opportunity for growers to spend time with our technical team in the field and ask questions about our field work.”

Both days will take place at Dyson Farming’s site in Nocton, Lincolnshire, from 10 until 3pm, and attendance is free.
