Ronald Bown, who has died at the age of 80, was one of the most influential figures in Chile’s agricultural export industry.
Following his appointment in 1990 as president of Asoex – now branded internationally as Frutas de Chile, he spearheaded the country’s development as a global fruit export powerhouse for almost four decades.
