This will involve the effective deployment of cost-saving infrastructure technologies and business applications that can deal with the technological challenges of abi-directional information flow, (sales forecasts, inventory levels and produce traceability) and the likely industry-wide adoption of RFID (Radio Frequency ID) and EPC (Electronic Product Code).
