Produce marketer Imagination Farms has announced in a press release the expansion of its distribution by adding Californian berry supplier Berry Fresh to its list of Disney Garden premium suppliers.

Berry Fresh will make its Disney Garden debut on the US market in late March with 5.6oz blackberry punnets featuring Disney Princesses and Disney/Pixar Cars characters, followed in May/June with 6 oz and 11 oz blueberry punnets.

In April, the company will also supply berries with special promotional packaging featuring Hannah Montana to coincide with the Hannah Montana movie release.

“With our singular focus on increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables among children, a berry program was a priority for us,” said Mark Haun, western region sales manager of Imagination Farms.

“Berry Fresh is enthusiastic about the opportunity and will help us bring quality berries to the marketplace, further enhancing our role as a leader in fresh produce marketing to children.”

Berry Fresh said it is proud to become a part of the innovative organization, adding the company is eager to begin supplying Disney Garden berries. “As marketers we are always looking for new ways to reach out to new demographics,” explained Jose Paredes, president of Berry Fresh. “Fresh blueberries and blackberries are a perfect match for families.”

Berry Fresh joins a number of other Disney Garden suppliers including: Chelan Fresh and L&M Companies (Washington state apples, pears and cherries), Four Star Produce and William Kopke (year-round grapes), Turbana (bananas and pineapples), Crunch Pak (sliced apples and FOODLES), Sunwest (domestic citrus), Church Brothers (Western veg, value-added veg, and FOODLES), Hugh Branch and Prima Bella (sweet corn), Seald Sweet (imported citrus), Custom Pak (sweet grape tomatoes and watermelons), Progreso Produce (watermelons, mangos, and pumpkins), Rigby Produce and Russet Potato Exchange (fresh and value-added potatoes), West Pak Avocados (avocados), Stellar Distributing (kiwi fruit), Franks Distributing (mini sweet peppers), Fazio Marketing (champaign grapes) and Silvestri Sweets (caramel apples).
