Members of the G6 Alliance today (3 July) announced a service enhancement in the Asia to North America East Coast trade in response to market demand.
The AZX (Asia Suez Express) service will be upgraded to include an additional Halifax call. This move is expected to improve transit times from Canada to Asian and Mediterranean ports as well as from Asian and Mediterranean ports to New York.
New port rotation: Laem Chabang – Singapore – Colombo – Damietta – Cagliari – Halifax – New York – Savannah – Norfolk – Halifax (new) – Cagliari – Damietta – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Laem Chabang.
The G6 Alliance offers a variety of services between Asia and Europe, Asia and North America as well as on the Transatlantic covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings.
The G6 Alliance members are: APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui OSK Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line.
