Spanish discount retailer Dia has revealed growth in net sales of 6.9 per cent for the opening nine months of the year, up to €8.37bn, boosted by aSpanish market that saw overall sales up 5.7 per cent.

The group noted that underlying net profit for the January-September period came in 27.6 per cent higher at €115.4m, Planet Retail reported.

As of 31 September, Dia boasted 6,982 stores across its seven markets, 373 stores more than a year ago.
