According to a survey conducted by corporate consultant Ecozept on the French organic food wholesale market, the turnover of wholesalers specialised in organics increased significantly for the first half of 2008.
Business for such companies was up by an average of 19 per cent compared with the same period in 2007, Ecozept revealed, with the increase varying between 10 per cent and over 40 per cent.
Organic food wholesalers, which already recorded almost 30 per cent growth between 2006 and 2007, are now extending their ranges. According to Exozept, such companies stock 5 per cent more products today than they did in 2007.
