Israeli exporter Agrexco has announced an impressive 50 per cent increase in exports of its Carmel Bio-Top organic mini plum tomatoes.
The tomatoes are cultivated in organic greenhouses using natural pollination by bumblebees. Once the mini plum tomatoes are harvested, the company said, they are transported by sea rather than by air, for environmental reasons.
In addition, Agrexco uses recycled packaging, made out of PET, PLA, sugar cane, or other environmentally friendly materials.
According to product manager Ronit Pumpianski, exports will continue until the end of April.
